As of Monday, March 22 2010 our extended family, Wild N Krazy Kids/Risky Bizness, found a new spot with Beauty Bar. Glad to say, it completely blew away their past spot at Triple Crown. All walks of life came out on the first day of the week! A couple pics, and if you're ever out in SF on a Monday.......

We live in a day and age where music tends to be dumb down, in the Bay Area. Don't ever get me wrong, I LOVE the hyphy movement. Knowing the Bay Area and its culture though, we have more to offer than just a national sideshow to keep all the youth entertained. Conscious, Hyphy or Ignorant slaps, whether we want to go dumb, get ignorant or just listen to quality music that has some kind of meaning, we have everything to offer. Here is some good music to keep my side of the bay, SF, on the map and not lost in sideshow translations....
With two great rappers coming out of SF on 3/09/10, SF music is on a high as speak:
-P-Funk, my good homie and supported by the best producers/djs coming out of the SF game, Wild N Krazy Kids/Risky Business. With his album "PTO/Paid Time Off" slated to come out March 9th, please enjoy his teaser mixtape admirably named, "Clocking Out".
Click the picture to listen and download -J Davinci, a resident of the Fillmore. I got a leak of his album a month ago and was amazed at how gritty and sophisticated his delivery was in "The Day the Earth Turf Stood Still". If he keeps it up, big things to come from him. Backed by a great creative team, Sweetbreads Creative Collective, his end product should be interesting.
Check out his video for "What you finna do?" off The Day the Turf Stood Still.
Been hearing a lot about this skate clip on the new show "How to make it in America" on HBO. Finally got to see it and wasn't disappointed. Shit is halarious. Glad to see skateboarding can still be fun. Put together by Ty Evans starring "Wilfredo Gomez" aka Javier Nunez. So many legendary skateboarders in one clip!
